Section 4: Omarama to Kurow

From Omarama, the scenery changes and brings to light how all this water was used for the impressive Waitaki Hydro Electric Scheme. Heading for your next stop at Kurow, you cycle past Lakes Benmore, Aviemore and Waitaki. The trail varies from smooth shingle to sealed road. The new Sailors cutting section is outstanding! Tonight we finish in Kurow with a wine tasting at a local winery & fabulous dinner.
